Armenian Soul, Japanese Precision | 17, 18 April 2025
Chef Mgrdig Kazanjian, known as Chef Mgo, presented an tasting menu that fused Armenian traditions with Asian techniques.
Born in Saudi Arabia, twice named Jordan’s Best Young Chef (2014 & 2015), and recognised from MBC’s Top Chef Arab World, Chef Mgo has honed his expertise across the Middle East and beyond — including an internship at Alain Ducasse’s prestigious kitchen.
In his own words, he grew up with the flavours of traditional Armenian dishes lovingly prepared by his grandmother. At the same time, he was drawn to the minimalism and ingredient-focused philosophy of Japanese cuisine.
With the “Hin & Shin” tasting menu, he honoured his roots — preserving the soul of Armenian culinary memory while applying Japanese techniques to offer something fresh and meaningful to our guests.
